Here's an example of a smart buyer. They came up with a BIN price and he hit it, no nickel and dime stuff.

I was the lucky bidder. I want to pick them up, but do not want to use my truck (bad weather?). Should I rent a mini, or cargo van?

You could wrap them in heavy blankets, and wrap them with thick plastic like you get at a paint store. Seal the seams with Duct tape, and you are good. Congrats on the buy. I wish I were the lucky one. Just make sure you transport them on their backs, otherwise you are looking at braking the magnets off the drivers, or the crossovers.

I would opt for the minivan...remove the rear seats and roll.

Then I'd sell the M1.5t and get a better amp. Not bashing Carver amps in general as I am a fan but the m1.5t was not Bob's best effort.

Thanks, I will see how the amp sounds. I will probably use my sunfire 5X400 and bi-amp them. I see a carver 1.5t on audiogon for 450. Is this a good starting price for the amp?

That's pretty damn high for that amp, IMHO. However if someone is willing to pay it...

Dollar a watt for Carver amps (as a wise man once told me) is a good price.
