main speaker advice

Hello all, looking for some advice for main speaker purchase for both movies and music. I have the Polk RM6900 HT system powered by an Onkyo 804 receiver. Intent is to upgrade the main speakers (to better enjoy pure music) and use the HT package to fill out a 7.1 config.

So I'm looking at:

RM8000Ts - they match current equip aesthetically, but fear they'll lack base for pure music even with larger or dual subs down the road. I just can't find a lot on these speakers or listen to them.

or

RTi8s - don't exactly match in appearance (I'm all silver), but I know they sound good. But will they integrate acoustically with the RM6900 system.

or any other recommendations?

thanks in advance

IMO, the RTi8s are a lot more musical of a speaker. I have never liked satellite speakers for music, and have liked very few for movies. You can't beat a good pair of floorstands for listening to music. And the matching only matters when it comes to the wife; and if she is fine with it, well then you got no problems.

Show her the RTi8's in cherry, if she doesn't like that veneer finish, you have no hope withe ever winning the WAF.
