Speakers for B channels
Guys,
I'm currently building a home that will have a finished basement and am looking for some input. I'll have a dedicated home theater room with Polk LSiC, LC265i, LC65i, and TBD sub. All of this will run off a Denon 3806 receiver.
My question is, I'd like to run a set of speakers off the B channels of the receiver to a seperate room. They need to be either in-wall or on-wall, and would only be for listening to music. Do you think another set of the LC265i would be overkill for this application? Whatever I decide, I want it to be Polk.
Thanks.

This reply is a little late for you, but I like what I hear about your theater. I have just ordered LSi15's, LSiC, and will be ordering four surround speakers in the near future. I would prefer LSiFX's, and LSi7's, but I think for room fitting purposes I will (and cost!) I will end up doing four LC65i's. I wish your theater was installed so that you could tell me how they sound!
Now, regarding your original question, I would think either the LC265i or the LC65i would be great for your second room, for casual music listening purposes. I listened to LC265i's today in a dedicated theater room which was almost finished. Listened to them in two channel, and they sounded great!
Something to consider. Most will HIGHLY recommend separate amplification for the LSi/LCi speakers. Because of this, you would probably do just fine with TC265i or TC65i speakers, because they are an easier load to drive for that Denon.

Thanks for the response. I've read so many posts about whether or not this receiver is enough for the LCi's. I think I'm going to just hook it up this way and if needed add a 5 channel amp later.
I'll take a look at the TC's for the B channels.........thanks for the suggestion. -
B channel on most receivers cancel surround sound. Just info.

I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
Yeah, I'll be running the B channel speakers in a seperate room for some 2 channel audio.
