What is the proper way to hook up 2 center speakers? Can I just run a jumper off 1 speaker and into the other? TIA, Steve

If you just 'jumper them', you are either going to double the resistance or halve the resistance depending on your method. The Monster might throw a fit if you halve the resistance, or maybe not.

What would be the advantage to this?

I don't know. If there is one, I will post it when I find out how to do it correctly.

I am using 2 monitor 5's off of 2 channel of my GFA-7500 using a y connector coming out of the pre amp. I also have done it using one channel, and running both wires to the amp= 4 ohms. You can't run them in series because it WILL not work properly with the crossovers, and most likely present a 16ohm load. Check your amp manual and see if it is compatible with 4 ohms. Then check the speakers, and make sure they are 8ohms. It definitely helps with my system to run both, and you get an extra tweeter for the highs.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Why would you want to run 2 center channels which will only throw off the soundstage and imaging in the front array?
Unless you have a screen that is over 8 feet wide then it would make sense...

Yes having 2 will mean there will be some comb filtering effects happening. The severity will depend on the actual placement of the 2 in relation to each other.

    Are they the same model?

On the other hand adding another will increase the output potential. So if you are using a small center and it tended to sound a bit stressed when you played action movies at high levels, then adding a second identical unit would help.

Better sound quality, improved dynamics. Works great. I recommend it.

Not sure how you concluded that running two center channels would throw off the soundstage and imaging. On the contrary...
