Has anyone given it a try? And if so what were your thoughts. Did you use 2 identical amps (vertical) or two different amps (horizontal). Did you use an external active crossover & bypass the speakers passive crossover? In the end was it worth the expense & the trouble. Just toying with the idea. I've read many positive comments & a few negatives. Thanks

I'd be interested in any comments about bi-amping too.
I currently have two Adcom GFA-535's that have never been
used or energized since purchased [new]. Wondering if bi-amping with
these would drive SRS 2.3's. I use a Pioneer M-90,C-90,F-91
now and like what I hear, but wonder if bi-amping is advisable.

Can't see how it'd hurt the situation. Why don't you just give it a go and let your ears decide?

I bi-amp using external active crossovers. They do NOT bypass the internal crossovers in the speakers.
