I could have sworn taht it was already established that companies like YouTube (Google) that host contributed content are not liable for the content.... I'm sure I'm oversimplifying that.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Viacom sues YouTube for letting its clips be uploaded while NBC uploads its own clips on YouTube. It's not YouTubes fault for being a open hosting server, and even if it was, it's not the only place that their TV shows and clip are on the internet. Oh but that's right, it's just the richest...

Shares of Mountain View, California-based Google, the most- used search engine, fell $11.72, or 2.6 percent, to $443.03 at 4 p.m. New York time in Nasdaq Stock Market trading. Class B shares of Viacom, owner of MTV Networks and Nickelodeon, declined 9 cents to $39.48 in New York Stock Exchange composite trading.

Maybe Viacom is looking to get bought up instead, either friendly or hostile.
