Hi. Trying to decide on what rear and rear back polks to get. Up to this point I was planning on going with 4 cherry rti6's. I thought the sound would be great and I like the look of the cherry's. But will I be happier with the fxi5's? Also would I want to go with 4 of those or 2 of the fxi5 and 2 rti6's? Thanks

For HT, I would go with FXi5's as your side surrounds. I have FXi5's for my side surrounds, and FXi3's as my rear surrounds, and it works great for HT. I don't do much music in surround sound, but if you search the forum I believe that many have recommended using the RTi6's in place of the FX's as side surrounds for music.DKG999
HT System: LSi9, LSiCx2, LSiFX, LSi7, SVS 20-39 PC+, B&K 507.s2 AVR, B&K Ref 125.2, Tripplite LCR-2400, Cambridge 650BD, Signal Cable PC/SC, BJC IC, Samsung 55" LED

I listen to mostly ht, not much music, which is what got me wondering about the back speaker choice. Would it be advisable to go 4 fxi 5's or would I want to stay with the rti6's on the side still?Silversmoky

thanks for the input. ordered fxi5's and I can't wait to hear them. going to just try them in the back surround and then decide if I should order two more for the sides or go ahead with rti6's on the side.Silversmoky

Received my fxi5's tonight. Just got done watching the new bond movie on them and they sound amazing. I am extremely happy with them. (Much better than the old klh's):D Can hear so much more detail. Polk sound is so clear and sharp. Thanks for the suggestions on getting them. Now I can't decide if I want to order another set or go with the rti6's on the side surround?Silversmoky
