Bi-amping RTi12's?
I am going to buy some more power for my RTi12's and was just wondering how bi-amping actually works? I have searched but can't seem to dial in a conclusion. For example can I run 2 Outlaw 2200 monoblocks on one 12? One for the highs and another for the lows or can i do that with one amp, or do I need to look into a more powerful amp etc....?

you can do it both ways,, typically, with monobloc amplifiers, you can use a bi-wire speaker cable such as signal cable makes,, or just replace the "stock" jumpers with some good speaker cable, and you're good to go.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I have our 12's bi-amped with 2 Adcom amps...200 wpc on the low end,and 125 wpc on the upper end.
You can also use the Outlaw Mono's,2 per speaker...but,IMO,I think you would be better off getting two 2-channel amps. instead of four mono amps.
Either way, just make sure that you remove the brass jumper from the binding posts before you hook em up. -
Thanks Mike but i am still a little unclear even if I got to amps per speaker how would i wire that up with my Denon.View my Blog!

Your Denon should have "preouts" on the back, depending on which AVR you have.
Need to run i/c cables from the preouts on the AVR to the inputs on the amp/amps...transfers the signal to the amps.
Then run your speaker wires from the amps to your speaks.
Once again, when bi-amping or bi-wiring,don't forget to remove the brass jumpers from the binding posts, you can fry things pretty quick if you don't. -
Right but how do i run one pre-out to 2 amps? I understand how to run one pre-out to each amp then speaker wire to the speaker.View my Blog!

Sorry, misunderstood your question...you will have to get a splitter...either a solid one or one that is made up from cable,a y-splitter.
I use these, they are an IXOS product I purchased from accessories 4-less -
That's how I did mine......no regrets.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~
