so.. in another thread, i was told to go with 2 12" sr subs. i have a small issue because of where i want to put them. i am lookin to glass them into the spare tire well of my 03 vw gti and i only have about 24" of width, so the 12" would be a little too large side by side (12.5" + 12.5" = 25" = too wide)

so what this is coming to is i am looking for a review on the 10's. they will be sealed with about 1.5-1.8 cubes sealed, per sub. they will be svc running parallel to a kicker zx1000.1.

how do you think this will sound?
would you recomend more or less airspace? (i took the recomended airspace range, add the displacement of the woofer and then found the middle of that range to come up with 1.5-1.8 cubes per sub)
how do you think it would compare to the 12's?

thanks guys. looking foward to what you have to hear...

How about a single 12? That would certainly take up less space and a single 12 with 700+ watts would move some air.

a set of 10's will handle more power a 12 will go lower and take up a little less space. Somtimes a 12 is a lil muddy compared to a 10 but if its a sub and not contributing to mid bass then your fine.

i guess a single 12 is an option.

but the 2 10's would move more air then the 1 12. the 1 12 just might get a little lower.

i guess either way, it will sound pretty damn nice and will blow my 1 12" kicker l5 (on a 400.1) out of the water.
