Just reserved mine today and also picked up the strategy book on sale. This one looks very extensive compared to the last one, many more weapons and magic. Fights with gods, Pegasus flights, etc...

Reserving the game came with a demo of the first 20 minutes of the game. Kratos descends from Olympus like Ares did and is stripped of his powers. There are also a bunch of new moves... Looking forward to this.

Attention Scott: Looks like there is a Challenge of the Titans on this one with a lot of different costumes. Get right on that! :)

    Venom... I'll take that PS2 back now:p
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

P.S. I do not want to spoil any surprises, but Kratos gets a kick **** war hammer and the spear of destiny... and that Hydra boat captain is back again.

Does anybody know if you get to get Pandora's box again? Or go through the temple? Cause I think that was my favorite part of the game.

Not in the guide. While it was fun, I think it would be redundant.

For those of you that cannot wait until the God Of War 2, here is a shot of the next Kratos.

Something tells me they went under budget on this one...

Well apparently games do not come out on Tuesdays, like everything else, anymore. I noticed all the promo's were changed to the 14th from the 13th. Really weird! My MotorStorm was on Wednesday also. All movies, games and software have been released on Tuesdays for over ten years....

PS: I have been having Guitar Hero gatherings every weekend, it has been a blast. Everyone brings over their own guitars. We have competitions and stage shows. Gotta love the 10.5 foot screen.

News - God of War II gets over 1,000,000 pre-orders
Posted by Richard Brownell at 08:44:25 PM EST on 2.28.2007.

We've been talking a lot about our new current generation recently. The PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii are almost all you hear about these days. But Sony today wants to remind gamers about the last gen, in particular the upcoming God of War II. It has now passed the 1,000,000 pre-order mark with only two weeks until its release on March 13.

So PlayStation 2 fans rejoice! Besides several other promising looking PS2 titles this year, you will soon have the chance to play as Kratos once again.

I just received an automated call that GOW 2 will be at my local EB Games tomorow afternoon. They told me it was guaranteed to be there since I reserved it. But we slhall see.

If they do not have it for me, I am going to dress up like Kratos and return to the store with Super Bulldog, so they know we mean business.

    Awesome, Spoilers>>>>>>

Remember that Barbarian that almost killed Kratos in the first one, he is back and pissed off. You have to fight him, when you win you get that big spiked hammer to use. Cool.

God Of War II = Completed

They should have known better than to mess with Venom.

I've been playing this for about a week now, an hour or two in the evening, I think I'm about half way through. I'm not a big gamer so it takes me alittle while to finsh a game.

Let us know if you get stuck, there are a few pain in the **** parts to complete. Mostly traps and puzzles more than fighting. Ex. The Bonecrusher, Timed grappling pillars (x2), The Gate (Took me a while)

Hard to say, they are different but equally challenging. The bosses are hard on 2 and so are a lot of the traps. The grappling may drive you nuts, and a few others I will not mention....Where are you now?

Have finished God Of War II and lemme tell you way better than number one. Far more detailed with more cut scenes. Disappointed on less nudity though, unless you count Medusa's sister which that was nasty looking or the big fat guy/girl whatever close towards the end.

Just finished the part where you fight Icarus and fall in the hole through the earth.

You will meet Atlas soon. Fight the Kraken, some challenging traps. Keep at it. I found the last fight not that hard, the sisters of fate a little harder actually.
