I was listening to music in 5-channel stereo, and all of a sudden my right channel stopped playing music.
I ran a test tone, and got audio through the right channel then. I switched to stereo mode, and still am not getting audio from the right. What the heck is going on?

An added bit of frustration... playing the cd through my PS3 through HDMI. I tried plugging in an optical cable, and same situation... no audio from right channel. Really bizarre thing is, when I'm clicking left and right on the PS3 controller in the main menu, the click comes from the right channel. Just won't play music. WTF?

Is it possible that the CD just can't read the right channel? It is a bit scratched up. I put in another CD with no problems. Bizarre... and sorry for the panic attack!

That's what happens when you try to fool 2 channel music into being something it's not. ;)
