Buyers remorse on used amp?

I just picked up a Marantz MM-9000 to step up my HK 235 for HT. Is this amp going to make a noticable improvement on my system? I'm not too up on HK's low watt/hi current set ups? Even at 50w it's pretty stout. I just want to make sure I will be OK w/the speaks I'm powering. It's kinda late to ask since it's on the way. I think I need a pat on the head "or kick in the ***" Thanks!

Wattage doesn't mean much to quality. Give it a try. If it doesn't blow your skirt up, you can sell it.

I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all

Buying used amps is always a good idea.
Getting a great deal on a used amp makes is almost a fool-proof buy. You can always resell for same or more if you buy at less than market.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -
Ok Thanks, I meant my HK reciever puts out 50 but it is high current? so its actually higher. I just hope the Amp improves the quality of my setup not just make it louder. My HK sounds real nice and I was just worrying about whether or not the Marantz will improve on this.Harmon Kardon AVR 245 set 5.1

You should be just fine. Used is a great way to play around with gear.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Ditto on Doro's sentiment
Hard to lose too much money on used amps if you resell them, even over time. I have had used amps for years and would resell them for little dough less than I paid.
I havent bought a new amp in quite some time, my 2 channel and theater all roll with used amps.Living Room 2 Channel -
