It is always nice to be treated well. There are so many companies now that just stress dollars/cost and CS as an afterthought. Not sure Audio Companies, the ones that really just sell Audio fall into this though.

I had to scratch the itch, so a couple days ago I browsing my Music Direct demo cataloge seeing some interesting deals. Jumped on the website yesterday and saw on the demo page a sub-platter and platter upgrade for my Rega P-25 I have been wanting to try.

So I give them a ring, alas, the sub-platter had already been sold, but the salesmen (Rocco) very politely says he will send me a new one at the same price. so the Deepgroove sub-platter and Iron Audio platter are on their way.

Pretty nifty and I am giving them an official thumbs up on this one. Now just have to see if it helps the vinyl rig, but in audio weight usually trumps lightweight pieces. One caveat, as I have not received the order yet.

Very cool. Those are both nice pieces. I ran a Rega Planar 3 with a RB250 arm for years. One thing I found that helped my rig was setting it on an isolation sandbox. It helped to dampen the table resonance and removed the slight rumble I picked up when I went to a high output cartridge.

Yes that's the one. Glass platters and children's toys don't mix. ;)

That acrylic platter has got to be the best reasonably priced upgrade for the Rega. I'm almost glad that "the platter incident" happened and forced the purchase so early.

Great Stuff Ted. . . I am willing to pay a few dollars more to a company who has great CS. There are quite a few good companies that have great customer service and they should be touted. Alas the current trend however is, "low prices" **** CS or CS where you need to learn a foreign language to speak to CS reps and they treat you as though they are doing you the favor by allowing you to purchase their product.
