I-Sonic Referral - $100 discount

Has anybody else heard about this? I just got off the phone with one of the sales folks...as I was asking if they were going to have any more promotions for the I-Sonic. I want to purchase one but didn't have a need for a free miDock or XM tuner (the last 2 promotions). Anyway...details were a little sketchy (he said it was a brand new promotion) but it sounds like you can now get $100 off (not sure if this is at purchase or in the form of a rebate) when you refer a friend that also buys an I-Sonic.

Would be happy to be somebody's referral. Also...obviously...would be looking for someone to be my referral.

Anybody have any more details and/or interested?

Thanks.

Long standing members should have received an email in the past couple of days for $100 off, no referrals, nothing. Just a benny for being part of the Polk community.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Yes it did, but I figured coming from you that you were being honest. My mistake.

This is one of those things where a ton of people will **** about their $100 and then the company (DefTech/Polk) will regret ever doing it.

The code, should you want to use it, was a hit sitcom about a small group of 20-something individuals, who's theme song was written by The Rembrandts.

    Cheers,

I heard it, I liked it sounds great for the size, full range. Surprising bass from a radio of that size, at first didn't believe it wasn't hooked to a sub. HD radio a plus, a fair value, and sounds better then the Bose Wave Radio IMHO.

I heard the interface was horrible and the machine itself was loud at low volume...anyone confirm this?

I would love to jump all over one of these. I was shocked at how big the sound was when I heard it at PF 2006.

I didn't get the email for the discount, but I figured it out courtesy of Russ.

Nope, and I've heard a bunch of them. Isn't being loud at low volume called, efficiency?

I'm talking about the disc player itself, not the speakers.
