Sub Choices for a C500.1

OK here goes...

I am beginning the process of upgrading from my stock system. My car is a 2005 Mazda3 SP23 with a bose system, consisting of 6.5 components up front, 6.5 mids in the rear doors, and a 5" sub under the passenger seat. I just ordered a c500.1 and was wondering which subwoofer would best suit my needs - and I need a little assistance since other than the stock 5" bose POS under the passenger seat, I have never had a sub in any of my vehicles before.

I listen to almost everything: classic rock, R&B, Blues, hip-hop (no gangsta crap though), even top 40 and easy listening (some classical music can even be thrown into the mix), but mostly to hard rock/alternative.

So what I am looking for is SQ: tight, refined, clean bass, as opposed to bone jarring, window rattling bass. From what I am reading a small sealed box should help accomplish this - right? I also dont need/want a competition grade sub - ideally I would like to spend less than $150 on the driver. People have mentioned Focal and JL audio to me - but they are just out of my planned $ range, and frankly would probably be overkill for my needs.

Do these sound like good choices? Which of them would best suit my admittedly novice requirements?

Any other driver options, or even suggestions or advice on factors that I may have missed?

This Soundsplinter sub (RL-i10) is an SQ oriented driver.....I had one for while, very nice subwoofer that is no slouch in the output department.

The Alpine R is nice, but don't let the MOMO fool you. It can handle more than 300 watts, so a dvc hooked up to the c500.1 (for a 2 ohm load) should work well... just don't have the bass gain turned up all the way. Depending on how loud you play the music, overpowering might fry your sub's coil, so in that case you should wire it for a 4 ohm load so you'll get 350 watts (instead of 500). Then its a perfect match. Right now, temporarily, I have a c500.1 powering a 12" momo svc, giving it 350 watts and it sounds great even though its a little under powered.

Black magic is right. I've heard Polk's db212-2 enclosure hooked up to a Rockford Fosgate 1000.1 amp and I'm telling you what them Polk's hit hard! We actually blew a couple of Kicker CVR 12's the newer ones with the silver cones and the Polk's loved the power of the Rockford. So I'm sure that the Momo's could handle the 500.1

I had some Polk 10"s, and they were way tight on the bass, not boomy. I haven't heard any newer Polk's but the 2 10's I had were hooked up to a Nachamichi amp, and put out real nice tight bass in sealed cabs.
