What amp for a Polk Audio EX12?

I am kinda new to subs and amps and stuff, and the car I just bought came with a Polk Audio EX12 12" being run through an Alpine MRD-M1005 Amp and a Lightning Audio 1 farad Capacitor. The Amp has some water damage and needs replaced. I just want to get something that will power the EX12 well, and not have to spend a large amount of money. What would my best options be for a new amp so I can get my Camaro rockin' again?

BTW - sorry I posted this in the wrong forum a minute ago

Any single channel or 2-channel-bridgeable with a power output close to that of the max your sub can handle would be a good amp. Alpines are great for good, clean power but do cost. Rockford is another solid choice.

Any amp for just one sub shouldn't run you more than a couple hundred unless you are looking for some huge wattage. Look at Crutchfield.com for great selection and customer service, but look elsewhere for best prices!
