Just a funny article on automating an online character... find out what happens when...

The Autocamp 2000 Plays Online RPGs with the following rules:

Join any group that invites you
When in a group, follow behind the leader
Attack any monster you see
Accept all trade requests from other players, then give them a melon

"Well, that takes care of 90% of online play. All I would need to do is stick my character -- Farglik the Mon Calamari -- in a cantina with a backpack full of melons..."

Ha. That was a funny read. Shows me how nerdy I am, but it was very funny.

There used to be a room on EFNET (might still be there, i just dont idle there anymore) called #idlerpg. And you just idle'd in the IRC chat room and your RPG character that you created leveled and found magic items, etc while you idled. So you would just come back and check on your dude every so often and see how much experience/items you'd gained. It was fun... now that is nerdy and lame
