Well... the time has come to put up for sale a few pieces that may be of interest to some, none, or many. The reason for this system overhaul is simple. The wife has requested that the audio rig reside in a larger, more open room of the house so that we may both enjoy it. She also wishes it to be a bit more user-friendly. Since she has been extremely supportive of this addiction and is actually showing an interest since the arrival of the Pro-ject Debut TT, I feel it's best to accommodate her. Yeah, yeah, yeah... single guys yuk it up:D

Cap'n Obvious sez... "The room is the single most important piece of gear in your rig" Case in point. The reason for this sale.

First... my beloved Monarchy SM-70 Pro. Please don't let the 30wpc fool ya. This is quality Class A juice and was comparable to my previous Rotel RB-980 (rated at 130wpc) in regard to muscle -- and infinitely better in terms of musicality. For reference, the Totem Arro is a 4 ohm speaker with a 87db sensitivity and was never left wanting by the Monarchy. If you're looking for tube-like performance from a solid-state amp, look no further. Pick up another down the road and you have yourself a most dashing pair of balanced monoblocks. This piece and its Zero Feedback design is absolute honey. Mint condition with the exception of a single white nick the size of a pinprick on one of the heatsink fins. I'll give you pics... full disclosure, cadda wadda kadda. Original box and manuals included.
Asking for $OLD to the lower 48.

Second... my Dared SL-2000a tube preamp. Anyone looking to get into tubes, this piece offers a fantastic value. This is the newer version with the wood remote (not the keychain). Warm and lush to be had on the (relative) cheap. This will come with NOS Mullard 12AT7 tubes upgraded over the Chinese stock.
Asking for $OLD to the lower 48.

Finally... a Pro-ject Phono Box with the silver faceplate. Does what's it's asked to do and is a relative steal for a quality phono pre.
Asking $OLD to the lower 48.

Paypal please add 3%. Money orders also accepted. Just so you know, I will be unable to ship these pieces until Monday, as I will be out of town until then...

Thanks guys, gals, and gorillas:)

btw many apologies to Mark for selling these pieces during my reign as Affordable Audio princess. I had no idea this would happen when I submitted the pics. If I need to relinquish the crown, I'll do so.... grudgingly:o
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I have to admit that the tube preamp looks sexy. Good luck with the sale.

I agree... seems to be a love/hate thing with it though.

    two inputs
two outputs (for a sub, if you so desire..)

This is one area where the wife feels the current set-up is not user-friendly. I will have a TT, CDP, and dvd player running in my system and this means having to switch IC's from time to time.
