I go to work - walk to the back to see what came from good ol UPS...

I walk to the doors, dont see anything..

I turn back around and I see like... 15 Crown power amps waiting on me...

I was like a kid in a candy store, 400 pounds of amps!

*drool* - I wouldnt own any of them for anything other than subwoofers or house systems or outdoors, or w/e - but its just the principle of the thing.

Yes this thread is very pointless. But now my rack at work is loaded with amps - looks sweet as hell.

Behringer has a new stereo amp just came out recently. Looks snazzy, posts some nice numbers for the price too. I'll dig up info on it later.

I use a Behringer EP1500 amp to drive my portable sound system (Behringer 1520B Pro speakers), I had it cranked about halfway up and my RS SPL meter read 120db at one meter.

I looked at Crowns, but man, are they expensive!

Behringer is good stuff when it works.

I usually have to send back 15-25 defective items every 2 months.

+1 for Behringer stuff not being reliable.

I run the PA at my temple and we use a Peavey powered mixer. Rock solid reliable. Same goes for Crown, QSC, etc.

I guess Trey is the expert on this stuff though.

Zero problems on my Behringer stuff, I wonder what makes for such a failure rate? Trey?

Behringer has horrible Quality Control and is known for using incredibly cheap parts.

They are trying to fix it, but while they use high end designs - the parts just arnt up to par with the designs.

Wow, I had no idea. Is the main problem with components or speakers? Thanks.

But, in their defense, their prices are usually really good when compared to other brands. I have used Behringer mixers almost exclusively from tiny 3 channel to big ~30 channel and have never found anything to be wrong but, I only used them for a few hours each day a couple of weeks out of the year.

    Their speakers are pretty solid...

Their Bass cabinets with aluminum cones last about all of two seconds -

Their amps are pretty solid, their boards are decent, you get a few that die over time (channels literally lose...volume) haha... some guitar amps, the chips literally go on them...

Their PA stuff is pretty solid, some stuff just dies over time.

But you cant really eff up a speaker. When I had the Behringer studio monitors, the woofer died on me in about a week - but I replaced them with a new pair before I sold them.

Cool thing about Behringer, since we are their largest dealer - they give us a 3 year replacement warranty vs. their regular warranty.
