Thoughts on the Clarion DRZ9255

Through some research I have heard a lot of good things on this piece. It still has that old school classic look and feel. Which would be a plus since I would be placing in a 95 300ZX.
It has built-in 4-way crossovers and 7 Cm per step digital arrival time alignment. This might reduce one piece in my system if I decide to go active.
Anyone have any experiences with this unit or other comments.
Thanks,
Tim

That is an excellent head unit - however, for a whole lot less you could get an Alpine 9860 which is an outstanding HU with optical output and controls the Alpine H701 priocessor which is the best processor on the market! The 9860 is a STEAL for $300 right now! If I had $300 to spare, I would buy one without hesitation!
So for $700, you could have a competition level system with more control and tuning features available that your head would spin!polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

I have been considering the alpine units as well. The one I was looking into was the DVA-9861. But now that I have seen this I will have to look and see what the major differences between the two beside price.Car Audio System:

Get the 9860.
It doesnt really matter what features the 61 has that the 60 doesnt because youre going to be using more features than you can shake a stick at with the H701! The HU will be used ONLY for source. All the tuning will be done thru the 701.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

I see what your saying I will have to look at starting to get my orders in. So here is what I am looking at getting now.
Going to purchase:
Polk SR6500
Polk SR124
Alpine DVA-9860
Alpine PXA-H701
Currenty own for install
PPI A600
PPI A404
Alumapro - The Cap 15 farad capacitor
I have not decided on the battery. I have always used the Optima batteries but have been concidering going with the Kinetik HC1400 Power Cell. They have been getting good reviews and feedback. If you have any sugestions let me know.
If I am missing something just pass me some added input.Car Audio System:
