I have a set of 465's momo's and a 4 channel MTX 4244 amp. I would like to know the best way to run them. Thanks.

The four channel is only going to be used for the 465's? If so you have two options-

1.)Wire up two channels to the tweeters, and the other two channels to the mids. This would require that the amp has a built in crossover that would allow you to highpass the tweeters @ 4KHz and bandpass the mids from 80 Hz to around 4K (ideally). If the tweeters can't be highpassed that high, then don't hook it up this way.

2.)Bridge the amp to two channels and run these to the passive crossovers. Make sure to read the amp's manual in order to properly wire the amp for bridged mode and to figure out what inputs should be used to maintain left and right channels. This would be the easier option.

*whoo hoo* finally somebody buys an amp with enough power to push a good set of momo's... god bless america.

the 4244 briged is gonna give you a nice crisp 120 watts at 12.5 volts and around 200 x 2 at 14 volts ... 200 watts to a momo component set is the way to go my friend... i used to run about 175 to my DX components until i gave up on making myself completely deaf, and i'll tell you, a lot of clean power is a good thing.

my girlfriend owns the mtx 204 (predecessor of the 4244), its a good amp, i can vouche for that... bridge it like Thom said, run it to the passive X-over, then run out to your tweet / mid-woof... thats the way to go.. keep the gain at about 50% though.. actually u might wanna start lower - like 30, and work up to 50%... dont overpower the speaker rightoff the batt... i am PRETTY SURE, they wil handle 150 wrms, but don't take my word for it... work up to it slowly.

    good luck
