I know this may seem like crazy question.. but i don't know where else I could possibly get an answer but here.
I have the chance to get two SDA SRA's, two SDA C's, and a SDA (not exactly sure what model) single.
Which leads me to my question. I know that the SDA's were designed to work as pairs, but is it possible to use a SDA as a center channel speaker in a HT setup?
Thanks much in advance!

I think I have figured out that the speaker in question for the center channel is a SDA 1

Welcome to the forum.
Is that two SDA 1C's? As for the other speaker, they are a few versions that may say SDA 1, so can you post a picture? The answer to your question depends on what model your single speaker is as it may use a different tweeter. Bottom line, you can use a single SDA speaker as the center channel, but you'll need to rewire the crossover so that all drivers/tweeters work as in an regular type speaker.Political Correctness'.........defined

There are a couple of websites maintained by fellow members that will help answer some of your questions. Feel free to ask anything that comes to mind.
polksda's website will help you identify the various SDA (stereo dimensional array) models. http://polksda.com/srsad.shtml

Welcome to the forum. Seems like you are on your way for a great setup if you get those speakers. I'd love to see how an SDA-1x speaker looks as a center channel_________________________________________________

a SDA 1 seems large to use as a center. I suppose anything is possible, though
Larry Chanin's HT is a prime example of what you can do with SDA's in a modern home theater.Ludicrous gibs! -
Does anyone think a pair or even one of the original SDA/CRS would work for the fellow? I've been told that I could use it as a center by local Polkies.

That would be optimal in an SDA based HT just due to timbre matching. I believe Larry Chanin is using two CRS's for his center channel, but one would work just fine.Ludicrous gibs!
