small system- speakers needed
Secured from my brother in law a small system setup by Yamaha a 810 I think (I'm at work) rated at 60 watts channel. This would just be a 2 channel hookup with no sub & I need suggestions, I need something that will do gighs & the lows as the sub is out of the question...

With that vintage of Yamaha, you might watch for Polk Monitor 10's or 7's on eBay. They would be well within your price range and provide good bass. The RTi6's are good, but I think that the brightness of the Yamaha won't be a good thing combined with the RTi tweeter. For $350 you might be able to snag a used pair of LSi7's if you are patient.DKG999

Larry- I have some 4 older Polk Audio R1's and I'm local to you....just a thought. I can get you setup for WAY under 350.
This thread has another well priced option....

I need something small, I have 10a's on platforms, have them in storage, area I have to run this is 8 foot so that's why looking at bookshelf speakers...I'm use to the 10's bass, so that's why the speakers that come with them sound a little to 'unbass'-like

What about the RT35i's used? Great sounding speaker and could be theoretically driven to 107 dB at about 5 feet away with 60 wattsGod shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8
