What's up with this rti28?

Does anyone know if the RTi28 ever looked like this?

I wanted an extra speaker to try 6.1 (again), but I am not sure what's up with the drivers in this one  .

I would rather not buy something that only looks like a Polk speaker.
Can anyone sheed any light? Are these simply knock-offs?

If it doesn't look like this, I wouldn't touch it....

Is that a red tweeter?..The bezel should be silver and I haven't seen the logo on a Polk home product driver before. I doubt if it is legit and I would be wary.

    Thank you guys.

I was very surpised to see a Polk home speaker like that one, and just wanted to make sure there never wa a "special edition" version of these that I didn't know about.

I will contact the seller to maybe get more details, but I will likely stay away regardless.

I also think its a knockoff. I've never seen an RTi28 like that ever before.

Seller says it's a stock photo? Saves time. Says it's the real deal.

The "woofer" reminds me of Polks earlier car audio line ups. Their subs had that same exact style.. would be pretty hilarious if someone dropped in a freaking car audio midbass. haha

I noticed the auction, too and he replied to me within a day. I guess I asked nicer?!

I did eventually get a response by the end of second day.
Q: "Hi, These speakers don't look like anything Polk made. Are you sure these are unmodified rti28 speakers? Can you provide more details?"
A: "Stock photo to save time..."

Was I not being nice? Anyway, it's gone now, and I am wishing the best of luck to the happy new owner :) .
