Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

What model is it? I am having problems with peaks at 90-120 hz, and right channel reflections. I hate to add another piece of equiptment inline of the signal. I have been fighting the urge to get an EQ, but I just have some frequencies that need to be tamed.

    Ben

Of course louthewiz gets first dibs seeing this is his thread and all :D
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. Thanks Snow I am trying to get the specs for it. I noticed that some of the newer ones only put out 1 volt, and unfortunately my GFA 585 requires 2 volts.
I keep looking for those specs Ben

PM sent. Wow I had no idea that there was this much interest in EQs I also got a pm from someone else wanting one also. I have no idea what happened to the others ones i had in the shop. either someone needed them more than i and took them home. or tossed them out lol. I looked every where i could think of for the rest of them, all i could find is 2 extra tuners a dvd player and this EQ. Oh well no biggie. I think you will like this one lou it looks like its new btw. REGARDS SNOW

Lou this is an update. I managed to remember to bring this home. It is not as previously thought an EQ-70 it is a GE-20 here is a pic of one that sold a while back on ebay. It looks almost identical to the EQ-70 though . If you change your mind because of this new info let me know. REGARDS SNOW

just a general comment. but interesting how some of the EQ's back then cost a few hundred $, now can only bring in a ten spot usually, if that. Why such a drop in value I wonder?

I have a simple 7 band Pioneer SG-550 i got at GW for $6 that I can't even sell online at all. I tried. no one wanted it.. ha ha ha. (it's not for sale mind you), just making a point.
    PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert

Not for sale but I got a BSR 3000 analyzer for $7 at GW. Use it to fine tune the room then take it out of the loop.

NP lou. if anyone wants it, it is still $10.00 + $15.00 shipping. and yes I think if one is dedicated and looks at goodwill/salvation army he could find a EQ for 6-7 dollars as mentioned earlier. but I also think its worth $10.00 of my gas money, time and materials to pack and ship this thing. Hell if someone was local and wanted it id give it away lol. This was offered to lou as a favor because he needed one, Not to make money.:D REGARDS SNOW

No it doesnt. I hooked it up a minute ago and the output level is a little scractchy when I turn it up and down, and I dont want to sell anything that isnt working perfectly so I think I will take it off the market. REGARDS SNOW

That's a heck of an eq for $7, I have one too, the pink noise generator is worth that alone. Did you get the condenser mic w/ it or have to buy one?

I have several mikes that will work with it. I've picked up a lot of stuff like that, mainly just for curiosity and something to play with.
