Hey whats up guys, I get my RTi12's in the morning so I am really looking forward to unpacking them and wiring them up. I have one question though. I have a brand new Denon 887 and currently I have these as my fronts until the Rti12's get herehttp://klipsch.com/products/discontinued/details/tangent-400.aspx
My question is when I listen to music such as rock the mid range horn is cluttered in a way, when lots of instuments are being played it's like the mid-range cant make out detail of all thats going on. These speakers are 15 years old and I am borrowing them for the time being. I am new to the audio world and i was just curious if this problem lies within the speaker or the adjusting in the amp. I am also running 12awg Tsunami wire w/Bananas.

It could be a lot of things, hook up the RTi12's and you'll have your answer in fairly short order. The Tangent's are decent, for what they are - I could see someone describing them as bright, or forward - but cluttered lends me to believe your mid's diaphrams may be on their way out. Not sure if they sell replacement diaphrams, or just the complete driver. If that is the problem, you'll need to contact Klipsch.

I missed your first six, but for post seven - welcome to the boards, and thanks for choosing Polk Audio!

    Cheers,
    Russ

It took 7 days. Depends on where u live. I picked mine up through the freight company. They were cool enough to call me when they arrived at there hub so I could pick them up instead of being delivered.

I really like how bright the 12's sound. It really takes watching (hearing) movies to a different level! Enjoy.
