I have a pair of very strange looking Polk Audio speakers - I've never seen any like these - I never hooked 'em up - they seem to be some kinda high end consumer home stereo speakers ? - got 'em from a friend along with a NAD 1300 amp + 2600A reciever/preamp/phono hookup/aux ins - I'm not trying to sound like a beginner in audio - I do it for a living - I.B.E.W. local#1 audio tech 25years - these speakers have no marking other that Polk Audio on speaker covers - these have a complex crossover/filter > RTA 12 filter on the top for tweeters with a cloth covering - the front has a pair of side by side 5 1/2" speakers with a 15/12"? passive speaker below them - the hookup method is banana connectors - help! - where can I see images of vintage speakers ? ....... thank you Tom Oh ! ... midi-mac-mobile@sbcglobal.net

RTA 12 Filter System. Nice
Click the search button in the blue bar above and search for "RTA12". There are pages of discussion and photos. We like photos, especially naked ones without the grilles. Post one of yours when you get the chance.
The RTA 12c is similar to yours and you can view the manual here:

Try hooking them up, they sound great. From your description they are most likely RTA 12's."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!
