Well I made the journey to PA today to pick up the 1.2's. The cabinets are a dark oak? Much darker than my 2.3's. They are in perfect condition, not a scratch or chip on them. Grills are in nice shape and the drivers and passive look brand new. He had the manual and wall brackets. I have to hook them up and swap out the 4 bad tweeters. He wasn't sure which one they were since he hasn't used them for awhile.

They look great. Now all you need is a set of 3.1tl's for a full set:D

Congrats Warlocks! Enjoy your 1.2TL's. I was tempted as they were only about 3 hours from me, but I enjoy my 2.3's just fine. They would be an overkill for me.

I hope you called in sick. Anyone making a road trip for SDA's automatically gets the next day off.

I am at work today. Thanks God its Friday. Supposed to be a nasty cold raining weekend in DC, perfect weather!!!! It is going to be a great weekend. Hope my ears aren't bleeding on Monday. Thanks, Jeff

very nice pair you got there Jeff, looks like the Walnut version to me.I had a pair of SDA SRS 2's with Walnut caps, looks a lot the same.
-
I am not much of a wood aficionado (sp??), walnut might be right. How many different woods did they offer?
-
Two-oak/walnut...yours "look" like an early version when Polk was using solid wood caps.
Later they changed to a veneer over mdf cap.
The side strips are a veneered 1/4" plywood.
The caps and the sides are an easy change if you prefer a different type wood...If I had kept my SRS 2's I was going to change them over to Oak. -
Congrats! Yes, those look like mine (Walnut for sure)Main System: Polk SDA SRS 1.2 Speakers, Sunfire Signature 600~two Amp, Carver C-16 Preamp, Carver TX-11b Tuner, Marantz 6350Q TT, Philips CDR-775 Recorder, Teac V-707RX Cassette Deck, Signal Cable Double Run Speaker Cable
Upstairs Den: Marantz 2325 Receiver, Marantz 5220 Cassette Deck, Marantz HD-880 Speakers, Marantz 6370Q TT
Exercise (Kabuki speaker) Room: Kenwood KR-9600 Receiver, Pioneer CS-99a Speakers, Sansui SP-X9000 Speakers (not pretty, but LOUD! ) -
