Used HK purchase

Hello folks. I am about to pick up a used HK AVR310 and a DPR1001...one for my 13 y/o son's room and the other for my bedroom.
Up close, these units are in excellent condition. Having read so many reviews on the AVR310, it leaves me to wonder what is going on inside. Is there a way for me to use a multimeter to test each individual channel? Anything I can do to prevent buyer remorse would be fantastic.
Thanks to all and have an incredible day!

bring a speaker, and set it to multi channel stereo, and test all channels that way. MM doesn't measure sound quality.
Also check here http://stores.ebay.com/Harman-Audio .
If you buy refurbished you get the warranty with it
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks
