Awesome, awesome game. For those of you who like Grand Theft Auto games and own a 360 this game is a must. Think GTA San Andreas scale meets a comic book. Jumping from building to building, picking up cars, huge explosions with great physics and last but not least fantastic sound design.

    heck yeah, I'm lovin it!!!

Hella fun to play, and if you act early you'll get in on the halo 3 multiplayer beta test... not a halo fanatic or anything but they're fun games (as far as FPS's go) and it'll be cool to see what the next one's gonna look like...
MacLeod: I guess youre lucky Polk has such lax hiring standards.

    Josh: Damn skippy!

I have to admit...this game is way better than the demo led on. I needed something new, and nothing else was out so I bought it.

I could do without the cartoon look, but other than that it's solid. I really like the whole jump feature. There's also something quite badass about being able to beat 20 guys to death without having to use a gun to kill them.

finally got it. it's pretty fun. but it seems like the same 'ole killing over and again. seems like it will become redundant. is there more to this game? how's the online play? haven't done it yet.

it'll probably become redundant, but since i havent burnt myself out on the previous GTA/sandbox games - it should take a while for that to occur =)

The online play is co-op which can be really fun. My character was maxed out and my friend had just started playing so his abilities were low. What we would do was, he would get in a car and then I would throw him in the car on top of buildings to get to those tough to reach spots for him. :D

It is somewhat repetitive in the idea of killing over and over but the terrain varies a good amount and the environment is huge which has definitely helped hold my interest.

I just wish the game took longer to beat. 3 nights to beat a game isn't exactly what I was looking for. Hopefully Halo 3 Beta will make up for it.

well, at least for now, it's pretty fuggin' fun. love those huge drops from buildingtop to buildingtop. and i seem to prefer beating the enemies down vs. shooting them. something about that back roundhouse kick that sends them flying brings a smile to my face.

These type of games haven't gotten old for you guys? I loved GTA 3 but the fun factor wore off by the time vice city came out... I played san andreas for like 20 minutes and didn't touched it again(thank god I rented it).

I don't know much about this game but I hope it isn't another GTA rehash...

agreed. gta got old quickly. but this game is MUCH more fun, imho. imagine the fun you had the very first time you played gta, before it got old. same effect here, even if you've already tired from the gta series. i'm just not sure about the longevity of this 'high'. hope it lasts.

Definitely agreed. You just need to give yourself to get into them before giving up, you can't exactly just pick them up right away.

Crackdown certainly adds a whole new dimension to the genre.

I played it for the first time for about two hours last night. Very fun. The draw distance is pretty amazing. The graphics are not great, but they are good.

The shooting interface and hand-to-hand fighting system could use a lot more work. Its adequate though, only mildly irritating.

I can see the game being a very quick one. After my two hours I am almost done taking out Los Muertos. I don't see the game lasting too much longer, unless I want to look for all those stupid orbs.

Anyways, its a good game, but if they do a sequel, which I hope they do, if they listen to the user feedback it should be a very good game.

And thats what is making it fun and worthwhile. The whole super strength thing is a great concept and pretty well implemented in this game. Its nice being able to get where you want to go by running and jumping and not being dependent on cars to get across the whole stupid map.

How smooth is the co-op join in feature? Is it well executed or annoying? Do you and your partner do everything together? Or can you each go your own way and get things done more quickly and independently?

Essentially when you join a friends game you can do whatever you want but the announcer guy will keep telling you your friend needs help if he is fighting a boss. However, you can still do whatever you want. Co-op is a BLAST. If anyone wants to play at any point shoot a message my way, I have all abilities completely maxed out so I might go a little ballistic blowing stuff up but I'll get your back. :D
