Years ago maybe the early 80"s I had several 20 ft lengths of Polk Audio speaker cable called Cobra. They were twisted pairs intertwined of individually insulated fine wire like colored magnet wire and wolven into a cable. They were rated at the time as the best speaker cable in the world. What ever happened to them and does any one still use them. Where can I find some?

They fried too many amps for Polk to take the constant risk.

They pop up from time to time, it was colored magnet wire, afaik. Litz braid. Sounded pretty damn good too.

I've had two or three pair, I think members MadMax, Hoosier21, and HbombToo all have some stashed away.

    Cheers,

I have a length as well but for me it's simply for Polk nostalgia.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
