Do I plug my subwoofer power cord into my reciever ac outlet or straight into the wall? I know this is a dumb question, but since I don't know the answer I figured it was worth asking.

Don't plug it into your receiver. Plug it into the wall if you don't have a power center/conditioner.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

Your subwoofer will pull alot of current. I would not recommend plugging it into the AVR. As mentioned - plug it straight into the wall or into a power center or conditioner.
