Just like the title says. Found a pair of cherries locally, and had to jump on them. But the ebony truly matches my room better, so yeah. Each of us pay our way for shipping. Let me know--thanks!

I do have some ebony t-20ebs (Euro Monitor 30s) that I'd be willing to trade straight up for your Cherry 9s. . . maybe even throw in some monster cables to sweeten the deal.
Think about it. . .Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -
I want to keep LSi9s. Just want the other finish. And c'mon, Andy... what did you pay, $130/pair for those? Let's keep it reasonable. Thanks.

Haha, that's some funny stuff right there...
Monitor 30s for LSi9...i'd say you through in an extra $500 and call it a deal!! -
The fact that he offered to throw in monster cables to 'sweeten the deal' makes me think his post was a joke... or at least I hope it wasDodd Audio ELP [ Tubes ] // Harman Kardon AVR330 // Parasound HCA-1203A // Denon DVD-2900
Polk Audio LSi9, LSiC, LSi 7 // HSU STF-2 // Signal Cable Interconnects (SG BW/A2/MP) -
I'm fairly certain it was a joke, just found it funny.
Guess it worked... -
Consdering Andy's humor... it was a joke. A damn funny one at that...
"Think about it...."
Too much:DI never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -
You guys are a sharp as marbles. . . that was obviously a joke. Maybe I should've said "a pair of ebony bose cubes and throw in some monster cables to sweeten the deal."
Sorry to ruin another FS thread. Oh, and I got those T-20ebs for $80. . . ****!
Good luck with your sale, Dane.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Dane, If you find a taker, there may be an alternative that would cost a lot less in shipping and not risk functional speaker damage in transit. The wood side panels are held on with double-sided tape and can be pried off. Polk has a little plastic tool they use for this purpose. It would be a lot cheaper to send four wood panels back and forth than the speakers themselves. Alternatively, if you can't find a taker, you can buy new panels from Polk, but as I recall they are rather pricey. You could even be the first to have a set with ebony side panels on one side and cherry on the other.

That's not a bad idea, pblanc. I'll definitely keep it in mind.
Andy, reviewing that post makes me chuckle. I don't know how I missed the sarcasm in there. I think "Bose" would have definitely helped in my interpretation, however.
Thanks for all the bumps guys. I feel like cherry is the preferred finish, so I can't imagine it will be that hard to find someone interested. -

I have an idear.
When you find someone to swap with, you should each remove the grilles, drivers, crossovers and fill and just ship the cabinets! That's what I would do. If you wanted to, you could remove everything but the fill and the lower midbass, then you wouldn't have to re-install as much.
Cheers,
Russ
Oh, so everyone will find this funny - BOSE!Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
You guys are all nuts.
If I really wanted ebony, I should have just bought ebony. But no one has any for sale!
By the way...
These speakers sound like complete junk right now. I've never really been disgusted by sound quality until now. I'm in dire need of an amp... -

Just peel the damn panels off, and have piano gloss black all around.

Spray paint? $3 and your done.
Don't glop it on, and you should have some left over to huff afterwards.

BOSE!
Okay, THAT one made me laugh. -
Dane, did I mention that the Euros sound fantastic, and can be powered by anything from a sony htib receiver to my alarm clock's pre-outs. It seems with speakers this nice that the worse the power, the better they sound. Drop those zeros (LSi9) and get with some Heros!
I did find some monster cable THX Lucas Film's top shelf private reserve certified cables which I'll throw in to tilt the scales. Actually, with the T-20eb Euros MSPR of $259pr and the Monster cables MSRP of $2100, I'm getting ripped off. . . but, still.

Hey, I'd do the Bose deal...
Then sell them for $100 off MSRP to some sucker on craigslist, buy some new LSi9's and have enough left over for a week in FijiDodd Audio ELP [ Tubes ] // Harman Kardon AVR330 // Parasound HCA-1203A // Denon DVD-2900
