 OK here it is at the moment its running off my tfm-35 sounds great , I have a Yamaha mx-830 I wanted to use on the top end and Bi amp these babies. I tried this once and them simply hooked up my tfm again.

Problems upon power up I inserted a cd and the sound was way weird I think it could be the poitive negative reverse ,I believe the dimentional driver were not playing correctly...

I also know they are slightly different in power ratings The mx is way under rated IMHO. butt........

Anyone got some suggestions or the same problems at one time or another with a fix

not to be a smartass, but you did remove the jumpers? I bi-amped a pair of 2.3 with and adcom/carver tfm 45 combination once, did not experience any issues,, adcom r&l to the r&l low inputs on the 2.3's and the carver r&l to the r&L "mid/highs",,
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

If he had not removed those jumpers, his post would have read much differently, more along the lines of "I blew up my amp". (speaking from experience).

Kind of wondering that myself.........since the top end doesn't
require that much juice anyway.Given the amp you want to try it with,I gather to say you won't hear a big difference. Now throw alittle tube
action up there and then we have something.

I was simply wanting to run more power, The jumpers come on guys Im a fairly intelligent guy, Im going to pick up my other tfm-35 in a day or two I had tried the yamaha and it sounded like I mighta had left right mixed up or maybe the positive negative reversed but + on + is what the amp shows , Just might have thought yamaha's were bassakwards or something.

The yamaha is a very clean sounding amp If I do say though. Not a tube I know but we gots what we gots. They both sound fine when hooked up seperatly. but together it sounded like the dimentional drivers were ,I dunno how to decribe it really any body got a quote out of the Darque's commendum about trouble shooting and bi-amping?

Of course you're a smart guy, after all, you bought a beautiful pair of speakers.:D

In my situation, I FORGOT to remove the jumpers (I had just bi-amped my 2.3 tl's and simply forgot when I did the SRS). I had a 350 wpc Phase Linear for the lows and a 200 wpc SAE for the highs. As soon as the power came on, the SAE went up in smoke and caught fire! After a few tense moments I put the fire out....and learned an expensive lesson....."take your time and look things over carefully before turning on the power". I was darned lucky that I didn't fry the Phase Linear or the SRS.

I'd have to say it sounded better. And therein lies the problem with this hobby. I change something, for example, I added an external DAC, and heard an improvement. But later, as the ears adjust I assume, the system sounds like **** again, until another change is made. Does it ever end? (never mind, I know the answer to that one).

I'm at a point now that I am addressing all the little details. I'm sending every amplifier one by one to the shop to get bench tested as well as replacing the power cords, binding posts and RCA connectors.
