The PC-Ultra and PB12-Ultra/Ultra2 have been discontinued. Thats the bad news.
The good news is, those who are lucky enough to have one, rejoice. You now own a classic.

As for folks like me who were too slow in pulling the trigger on the 12", are now stuck waiting on the new Ultra 13" series.

I would be curious as to know the price point and advantages of the new one. Perhaps you will be further ahead with the 13". Time will tell.

According to SVS news, the price could go up 20% or so.

I've had a PC-Ultra since they were first introduced...would have bought a second "if" I had that kinda spare change.

I'm thinking there will be some for sale in the used market one day, with a few owners wanting to upgrade to the "new" Ultra.

I can't imagine having more sub than I have now with the Ultra/2....the bass is unholy.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Wow, what a surprise!!! I just bought a PC-Ultra on Monday. I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. I was debating between getting one or two. After speaking with Ed (I think) of SVS, he said that I could always buy another if one wasn't enough. I guess not anymore!

According to Ron from SVS, the new single Ultra is suppose to produce more output than the old Ultra/2!!

I'll be the first in line to preorder to get my hands on a couple new Ultra cylinder's, to replace my current PCU's.

For a 20% price increase as rummored, that is one hell of a bargain!

Erik was chatting them up at CES and I have no doubt as to the bone crunching ability....I'm way happy now. I still haven't secured all the rattles in the room, the last thing I need is another project :)

Their demo of the current Ultra at CES was amazing! I flew all the way to Vegas (primarily) to hear the SVS demo's and some other audio stuff.

Having experienced that sucker more than once, I have to agree, there is no need for anything more. In fact, it's serious overkill as it is.
