Has anyone else gotten this game?
I was rather skeptical when I got this as a gift for Xmas, but installed it anyways, and thought, "What the heck. I'll give it a try."
I haven't put it down since. It's the best RTS game I have ever played. WWII setting, which usually turns me off; couldn't be further from the truth. It's just a flat out addicting game. If you haven't played it, go buy it now! It's that good. A 96% on PCGamers.
Super easy to learn, but extremely difficult to master. Your troops, which are made up of squads, take cover automatically, and once they die, just lay there on the ground wrathing around. It's so real, it's unbelievable. Tanks will roll over troops, killing them instantly... mortar's shell shock you from long range distance, and the Axis' tanks are unbelievable! The scenarios go from storming the beach to closing the Faltise pocket. There are 15 all in all, and the promotion/advancement rankings are similar to General's.
From the smallest detail to the ultimate strategy, this game just plain rocks!
Best RTS ever played here. Period.

I am definitely getting this one. I have had the demo on my computer for a few months now and never really played it. Finally got around to it because my father has taken a sudden interest in gaming (at 61) and he is a huge WWII fanatic. He had no idea the things current games could do. Even simple things like commanding soldiers and building stuff surprised him, but the big things surprised me to. I love this game! The cover system is great, i love how tanks are more susceptible in certain areas, and how the enemy is intelligent.
I only wish I played this demo earlier, I will be buying this game soon.

I got this game a couple weeks ago. I've only played it a bit though, but it is really cool. Unlike most RTS games, it's very heavily strategic, as opposed to building armies to throw at each other. I also really love the graphics, the level of detail on the squads is incredible.
