hi.. i have a pair of db104 subs and i am working on some box plans. the subs are going in the cargo area behind the rear seat of my 1968 vw bug i have a little over 3 foot of air space to work with.
what is the least and max air volume need for the subs? also what kind of sound should i expect with the different air volumes.

The recommended enclosure for the dB 10's is .66 ft^3 which is right around a box Q of .98 or so meaning a slight bump in the 40-50 Hz region according to Win ISD (speaker enclosure program). If you go smaller you will get higher power handling, punchier bass and you will loose low end. If you go larger you will loose a little power handling, gain some low end and the punch will lessen, but not much. I would recommend staying under 1 cubeic foot per sub if you can since much bigger will drop power handling significantly and you will notice some weird higher end anomolies.
