Vinyl for sale (proceeds to charity)

Have been planning on doing this for some time. Cleaning out the vinyl and just saving the stuff with sentimental value. A lot of the good ones I replaced on cd a long time ago. Some of the crappy stuff I picked up god knows where.

I'm not a vinyl rating expert by any means. Good condition means it looked shiny and scratch free, Pretty Good condition meant it looked entirely listenable and mostly nice condition, although there could be an abrasion or scratch or two. Ok condition means this seems listenable if you want to check it out, but expect it to be less than perfect. Giveaway condition means you wouldn't want to pay for it. I tried my best to be fair, if anyone is disappointed, remember proceeds are to charity and if anyone is REALLY disappointed I'll send your money back and you can keep the record.

Good Condition - $3 each
Pretty Good Condition - $2 each
Ok Condition - $1 each
Giveaway - I'll put any of these in your box for free if they fit.

I'll be mailing them in LP boxes that hold about 6 records via USPS media mail. Shipping for up to 6 records will be $5, if you want more than 6 I'll let you know the actual cost for shipping (I may have to buy a box, or simply send two packages).

ALL PROCEEDS will go to the Elmhurst Children's Assistance Foundation. A charity that provides financial assistance to families of children with life-threatening or disabling conditions. (I have no affililiation with ECAF other than that it is in the town I live in.) You can send two checks if you want to, one made out directly to ECAF and one to me for shipping.

ALL SOLD!

Good Condition

Meat Puppets - Mirage*
Smithereens - Especially for You
Smithereens - Green Thoughts*

Pretty Good Condition

Simple Minds - Sister Feelings Call* (not the simple minds you know from don't you forget about me)
ICE-T - Power
Meat Puppets - Self Titled* (who's that sitting behind Cobain on MTV unplugged again?)
the feelies - Only Life* (new jersey driving guitars lighter rock band, highly revered)
Simple Minds - Once upon a time
The Stylistics - You are Beautiful
Blue Hippos - Forty Forty (white boy 90's madison WI ska funk - clean and fast)
Polvo - Today's active lifestyles (turn pegs, tune down and strum away)

OK Condition

Tony Bennett - The movie Song Album
Burt Bacharach - Make it easy on yourself
Jack Jones - Our Song
Jack Jones - Wives and Lovers (wives and lovers is hilarious, political incorrectness at it's best, try to listen to it with your wife without getting smacked)
Firehose - Fromohio (emerged from the ashes of the Minutemen, Mike Watt an alltime great bassist)
Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bullocks
Ice-T - The Iceberg
Husker Du - Candy Apple Grey*
Ohio Players - Honey
The Brothers Johnson - Look out for #1 (inspired every other funk band, but now largely forgotten)
Tom Jones - This is Tom Jones

Give Away Condition

Ice Cube - Amerikkka's Most Wanted (one good track called the bomb, forget the rest)
Tom Jones - Live in Las Vegas
Ohio Players - Fire (2 copies)
Ohio Players - Skin Tight
Tom Jones - I (who have nothing)

I'll take a few of those:

    Billy Idol - Self Titled
    Led Zeppelin - Coda
    Led Zeppelin - Presence
Led Zeppelin - Song Remains the Same (2 records)

Hmm, that Beach Boys record is appealing...you sure only 6 fit in a box? :p

Whups, my bad; the fIREHOSE albums are still up for grabs.

I take it you thought they were Firehouse albums AB..
    too funny:D

Reminds me of that ditty... one of these things is not like the other... one of these things is totally differnt. Sing along if you know the words:)

    Haha, yup...you got it!

I mean, I always get Firehouse and Lighthouse confused anyway...now there's a fIREHOSE, too?? Sheesh.

But now that I think about...records...by Firehouse? That doesn't seem too likely. Though I really don't know how old Firehouse is.

Oh, oh...and you can't forget Firefall. Oh my...I'm getting a headache, now...

As usual, this forum rocks, they're all sold!

Thanks guys, I don't have the exact total, but it's going to be over $100 for the charity.

That was a lot more rewarding than having some craigslister come over and take them all away for $20 or something.

Hope everyone enjoys them, I gotta go pack 'em all up now.

I ended up sending shoe a few selections I had recommended to him. Make sure to check out the db's song amplifier. For a guitar guy it's just hilarious, but it might as well apply to the audiophile just as well. Glad you liked it.
