Parasound PHP850 Owners!

Is there a switch somewhere inside the Parasound P/HP-850 that you have to change to select MC/MM for the phono stage? I just received my turntable (yahoo! Thanks ESAVINON!!!!), and I hooked it up and it works. But I was wondering if there's a switch I should set, and if so, what I should set it to.

    Ok, I think I answered that question. I googled it and found out I don't have a switch from this:
    The only shortcoming [of the P/HP-850] is in the phono input; at a single sensitivity of 2.5mV, it will handle a MM cartridge okay, a high-output MC so-so but not a low-output MC.

    So, now...what type of cartridge does the Denon DP-7F have?

    I think I'll return to google, though can't cartridges be changed, and so the type wouldnt' necessarily be constant with a TT?

    I allways get them mixed up (the whole mm/mc thing), but MM's seem to be more prevalent.

    basically, if it sounds ok, then your good. having the wrong cartridge type would be very noticable (extremly thin and tinny)

    Thanks for the link, Shack. I'll check it out..after I finish rocking out to my YES! record. :D

    It has an Audio Technica AT90 cart. I googled it, didn't find out much about it, and couldn't resist spinning some vinyl any longer!

    That cart is a mm. If it was a mc the volume would be very low even at max volume on the preamp. So turn the yes up to 11 and rock. :)

    Hehe, that's a good album to rock out to! :D I'm really digging that album, too, which surprises me since I really don't like the only CD of theirs I have.
