I was wondering what load this amp would produce if i wanted to have it bridged to a mm2124svc. i couldn't find any info on its site about bridging it. is it just not possible? i have 2 c500.1 and 2 12" momo's. i'm very happy with 350watts each but if i can get more, that'd be nice. :D

oh, i'm also planning on building a fiberglass enclosure over spring break. was wondering if anybody has any tips on how to measure volume since it'll be curved in some areas.

You can't bridge a monoblock amp. If there's only one channel, you can't take it down any further. The only way to go lower is to move to DVC speakers. Adding that second 500.1 isn't really going to gain you a ton of output so you'd just be putting more strain on your alternator for minor gains.

That is an honest answer but I know someone who's looking for a 500.1 :D Want to trade for an SR sub and get as much output as your two 12's and only need half the airspace? :D

You cant bridge a mono amp but you CAN take it down from 4 ohms to 2 ohms.

You stick a single 4 ohm sub onto the 500.1 and youll get 350 watts. Hook another 4 ohm sub up to it and that will present a 2 ohm load and the amp will make 600 watts. So get a MM2124DVC and youll have a 2 ohm load for the amp and youll get your 600 watts. Which is more than that sub is rated to handle. For a MM2124SVC, a 300.2 would be a better choice.

I was thinking about getting a pair of SR's instead but I presume they'd give off a lot more bass than i'd ever need. That and their significantly more expensive. but i suppose if i stumble upon a few extra hundred that i cant find a place to spend, THEN i guess i'll get an SR :D

oh, and I appreciate the offer, but at this point, I think I'll keep both amps. Sure one of them is looks like its been to hell and back... but it still works. :)

right now i just need to find a way to trade my svc's for a pair of dvc. damn! i wish it was the summer!

So which would it look like when its has a 2 ohm load and its receiving 500watts from the c500.1. i've attached 2 diagrams.

thanks in advance. And I know I'm annoying, but i'm a noob when it comes to car audio (obviously). you're patience is appreciated.

If both coils are 4ohms, both wiring schemes will work as the amp is a mono amp. The first picture seems like it would be the easier one to use as you would only run one set of cables to the enclosure.

Those are both the same configuration (2 ohm load). There are 2 sets of terminals coming out of the 500.1 for ease of wiring. They are actually paralleled together inside of the amp.
