Need Help from My Tube Head Friends

Check out the photos of the tube amp. It looks to be an integrated mono amplifier. I could find out muc about it on Google. It has a large cool factor, just wondering if this is something that's worth about $150? I sure wish there were two! Any experience with the reliability or the sound from this thing? It's a Knight KM-15. I assume the 15 is for 15 watts. It has a nice tube lineup and the condition is excellent. What's your take? See pics!

    The 1959 Allied Winter supplement (No. 183) lists the 12-Watt KM-15 as “1st Choice In Low-Cost Hi-Fi”.

Some info for you towards the bottom of the page.

Without the stereo capability, I'm limited to a table radio kink of sound. The kewl factor give me wood. White or ivory knobs, chrome that would make a fire engine enviouse and that cage is awesome!!

Not to mention the condition is impecable. A pair of these would be real nice to power the Marantz 10B through the Monitor 7's.

Its pretty cool but for practicality I would probably choose one of those little DIY kits in stereo for about the same cost instead.

No, but I plan to. Very easy build it looks like and its supposed to sound good.

Edit: Oh yea, they can be bridged too so if in the future you wanted 2 x 16 watts you can get a second one.

I have a pair of those Knights, with the matching passive volume controller. One amp lost a badge along the way, still looking for one to finish them out.

I'm going to ditch the volume control, and hot rod the amps. BTW, I paid $180 for the pair on the open market, with the passive volume control included.

    Cheers,
    Russ

S5 sells a pretty nice box for the "K-12" (K-502)amp on a PC board kit. I put ours in one of their boxes, because I have zero carpentry/metalworking skills. Ours is on its second college-age kid/dorm hi-fi stint, BTW.

Not inexpensive, but nicely done. Here's a photo from the S5 website:
