Just got one of those Creative Vision: M psp players. How do I rip a DVD to put on it?

I don't know what you would use to burn the disk, but you could rip it with dvd shrink, or dvd decrypter dvd shrink will also compress the file to a smaller size if need be.

I'll look for that program. No need to burn it to disc. Once I get it on my hard drive I only need to drag and drop onto the player. Divx is native to the player so if I find something that encodes in that format I'm really set. So far I've loaded several seasons of Married With Children from a Divx disc and that worked fine. I'm really liking this player! Isn't technology wonderful. :)

I use dvd decrypter first and then AutoGK from there. It takes a long time to process a dvd but it produces by far the best quality files I've seen (size to quality ratio). It'll bring down a 20 minute tv show down to 40mb at 320x240 resolution (for my pocket pc) and have it still look great. Don't really have time to write up instructions on how to rip a dvd. I'll try and find a link for a tutorial.

Another program that's a little less complicated and faster (but worse quality) is Pocket DivX Encoder. This is to bring down the size of videos (not straight from dvd).

edit: Give this a read. Linky.
If it doesn't work for you just pm me or post here and I can help you out.

You should also get a subscription to Rhapsody. $15 a month and a la carte music uploads to your player, as much as you want, from around 3 million songs. The only section that is lacking is Electronic, but everything else is great.
Lovin that music year after year.
