I do not know what I did with the power cord for my Technics turntable. I do not know what to call this type of cord to even to start to look for it.
Any one know what this type of cord is called?

Nope, but you should be able to swap in a C7 type socket and then you'd have your pick of C7 power cords. Unless you are like Johnny K., JohnnyADA or Joie V., then you'd just use lamp cord.Political Correctness'.........defined

It looks like the socket of an old perculator coffee pot.

Probably this one but search by your model to be sure. I've got one on my Technics that looks like that.

Go to your local Radio Shack. They have a goodly assortment of replacement power cords with various sizes and shapes of plugs on the component side. Take the turntable with you, if you don't have the original cord.

Thanks for you help.
I never thought about switching out the socket. But I will try to find a cord at local stores before performing surgery.

I agree, that's what it looks like to me -- a coffee percolator cord.Robert

Found a Power cord for my turntable today, at Baynesville. I hooked it up and it sounds nice for a twenty some year old TT until the tone arm reaches the limit of the Linear tracking which is not moving. I guess I need to start operating.
By the way I love the sound of vinyl again, minus the scratches. Records not in great shape. The wife even says she could tell the difference in tone and pressence between the vinyl and cd during an A/B demo.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D -
Fixed it. This is pretty cool.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

Get a wet/vac record cleaning system and you will really start enjoying the music. -
Your wife has nice ears. What is the rest of her like?

I will have to get some sort of cleaning system because I am loving the sound of vinyl. It is like re-discovering music.
Side note: This is the best my RTi10's have ever sounded.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D -

Add to that list a good record preservative like "Last" and you will own gems. -
