Here is a link to what we bought today.
Prior to this we have been using an old coffee table as our TV stand. After being in our new house for over a year, we figured we should probably buy some furniture. Now I can store all my 360 stuff out of sight so it doesn't look like a 7 year old boy lives here.

Jesse, how has it served you?

Shelby, it wasn't mine. It belongs to a guy that moved recently and it got slightly damaged in the move. I'll say this, it's large and makes a statement. I think you'll enjoy it.Political Correctness'.........defined

"Winners Only" makes good furniture. I have a Winners Only roll top oak desk that I've had for about 11 years. It is built like a tank. It should last the rest of my lifetime and I'm sure that my daughter will get use out of it after I pass away, assuming that she wants it and doesn't sell it.
Looks nice! Hope you enjoy it!

I must be going blind! I've been searching for a decent entertainment center, but it seems that most furniture manufacturers have no concept of home theater, especially for accessability of stereo system components and space for a center channel speaker. Here are some of my thoughts about what requirements would be best for me:
1. Made of real wood, not particle board.
2. Modularized--needs to be in at least 3 pieces, a)spot for my 42" LCD tv, and space below the tv for a center channel speaker 10"HX35"W, b)left tower, with a glass door, and enough shelves for at least 6 stereo system components, c)right tower, with glass door.
3. No armoire doors to cover the tv.
4. Some possible accent lighting in the towers.
5. Either tower should have space for media storage (Cd's, dvd's, vcr tapes, etc).
6. Ok honey, the space left over in the towers can be used for your "home decor" (assuming the speakers don't knock them all down!).
7. Good wire management system for stereo connectivity.
I like glass doors, because the remote control signals can generally penetrate the glass for each stereo component, and they also keep the dust to a minimum. Am I dreaming, or do any of you out there know of something with these requirements? Do any of you have an entertainment center similar to this, and if so, what mfr/model, where to buy? Do any EC's have most of these requirements? I would be grateful for any reply. -
I know I had problems with my processor. I had to drill holes in the back and the front of it still stuck out. I cleaned mine up recently and moved the processor to the outside of the unit.
Very nice looking unit by the way!

hi all, this is an entertaiment center I built, it is a built in the TV can handle a 60" TV, it has enough room for 6 components, it is 24" deep and 20" deep on the sides.
I built it before I got more information that subs do not suppose to be install inside a cabinet. If I would have known that I would have built it using the center chanel under the TV instead of on top of the TV, this cabinet can handle a 24" wide center chanel.
the speakers are below and there is enough room for 16" high bookshelves speakers. we wanted bookshelfs instead of tower speakers.
Enjoy.Current HT setup
