Headphones - Sennheiser PXC-250

I was looking for a pair of noise-cancelling headphones to use with my iPod on long flights while travelling on business. I had originally ordered the Sennheiser PXC-250's from AudioAdvisor, but they have been out of stock, so I cancelled my order. I walked into Circuit City on Friday, and holy bat-crap, there hangs a pair of these on sale, $30 cheaper than AA!
I've been playing with these, and they are pretty incredible! As for SQ, very smooth mids and high-end, not as articulate as my Grado SR-225's, but very nice. They don't have the bass response of the Grado's, but not sure based on their size they should? The bass they do have is very tight and fast, kind of Magnepan like! The noise-cancelling is pretty amazing! I've been switching it off and on while setting near my humidifier and a fan I turned on. It really does make a difference! I think these will work well for travelling! They fold up real compact and have a nice carrying case with space for extra batteries, adaptors, etc.

AB - you're having trouble with reading comprehension tonight, eh
"$30 cheaper than AA" - they were on sale for $99 at CC as an open item. AA has them for $129.DKG999

Thank goodness I don't have to take a test tonight! My bad. Thanks for the clarification...I guess I need the "For dummies" version of posts tonight...:D
For $100...I think I'll hold off.George Grand wrote: »

Expensive yes, but not having to hear the endless drone and whine of the aircraft noise on a long flight, $100 is well worth it! And at least they don't say "Bose" on them :eek:DKG999

ROFL! You burned me before I even gave you the fuel!
I was going to mention the Bose. I've played with Dad's Bose QuietComfort headphones, and I think the noise cancelling feature is neat, especially in such environments as an airplane. However, I'm not much fond of it for just normal listening. And seeing as how I've never been on a plane...
The Senns are cheaper than the Bose, anyhow. But I can guarantee you they're not more comfortable! I've yet to wear a headphone as comfortable as Bose headphones.George Grand wrote: »

I tried it a couple years ago when I used to commute between CA and FL. Overall is very good quality and sound. I am not crazy about the battery pack, though, since it gets in the way and kinda akward. But, for $100, not bad. I thought I paid close to $160 back then (CC).I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
