Omage on speakers?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question; what will happen if a 6 ohm speaker is run to an 8 ohm receiver/amp?

In searching for Amp / Preamps, I fell in love with speakers that I have never heard of before and believed I will get PSB speakers over the RTI8. They sounded smooth, clear and crisp. BUT I noticed that they are 6 Ohm and receiver/amp I am considering is 8 ohm.

Generally speaking, you'll be ok but from what I can remember about PSB speaks are that they can dip below 4 ohm and may sound a bit flat without proper power.A seperate amp is almost a must with these puppy's.When you heard them, what was powering them?

I was listening to both the T55 and the T65, not sure which one I will get yet. I liked both over the RTI8. The sales person was swapping them out of a Denon 3806. At lower volumes the 55s were a little better and vice versa. Hmmm. But as long as the omage isn't a problem, I'm leaning towards the T65. BTW, I didn't ask the sales person about the omage because I didn't realize it until I was looking over the specs at home.
    Thanks
