Finished up the latest consulting gig today. I've got nothing to do on Monday morning. I had an interview this afternoon after leaving work that looks promising. It's a full time employee position. I've only been an employee for 1 year out of the last 10. I guess it's time to start working on the career. I hope 40 something is not too late...:D

If you don't mind me asking, do you happen to work in the defense industry?

Nope. I've done a stint for TI before, but it was developing manufacturing software for Motorola instead of bombs. I intentionally avoid jobs where people could die from my mistakes.

Hehe, I could see how my original statement could be misunderstood. I'm not too concerned at the moment. Being in the contracting business, you have to keep six months of income in the bank in case all hell brakes loose. The hard part is keeping the wife from spending it or worse, me "upgrading it".

My bad. I reread it and I think I understand now.

Sorry about your current situation, wallstreet. Here's to hoping you find the perfect position!
