It is just a one channel amp. It has really no bearing on its sound quality. (although it does have a few less limitations)

    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

A mono block means that it is a single channel in one chassis. This is beneficial because there is only one channel sourcing its current from the power supply.Generally the most powerful and expensive amps are mono blocks. for example http://www.bryston.ca/BrystonSite05/pdfs/28BSST.pdf

A dual mono block should be 2 separate amps in one chassis, and should have 2 power cords also IMO.

That's correct but depends on the actual amplifier design. You can be dual mono and share power rails. It doesn't have to utilize dual power cords, seperate supply rails, in order to benefit from the original design principle.

I'll take a couple devils tails out of an amplifier any day.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I should clarify my answer above.

Two (not Dual)Mono Blocks =2 chassis 1 channel each for a total of 2 channels.

Dual Mono=2 channels two power supplies 1 chassis
