Head straight for this site. http://www.avahifi.com/ There's no need to spend that much money to get superb gear. Frank's gear is top notch in both sound quality & build quality. It's next to impossible to find any of his gear on the used market because owners never feel the need to upgrage & it's built so damn well it just seems to last forever. Happy hunting! I've got Frank's OmegaStar 440EX amp & Ultra DAC. Both pieces are here for the long haul in my system. Their performance/price ratio is second to none.

Hell, you already have a great pre/pro and fantastic amps. Not sure you'd gain much at all by spending $5K to "upgrade" your amp and pre, and keeping the same speakers which, IMO, are the weakest link in your setup.

I agree with early b, you should upgrade your speakers instead. For that price you could get a killer system.

Well let me tell you all the sad story. I sold my Ati amps & my Sherwood & got Adcom 7807 & Adcom gtp-870hd pre-pro. Well the 7807 didnt work, sent it back NO 7807 available till April so I got 2 7805 amps & guess what they are busted Ive got no luck!!! The 7807 when I turned it on it just clicked & clicked & then buzzz, the 2 7805 did the same thing!! Its not my electric, had it checked, its not the balanced or rca innterconn, it does the click & buzz with nothing pluged in but spks. I bought everything from Onecall so I can ship it back!

agreed, speakers are the weak link. 4-5 grand on electronics is over the top for the RTi series.

Now that is sad, you sold working equipment to make at best a lateral move to get equipment that doesn't work!

Perfect example why upgrading for the sake of trying something new is NOT always a good idea.

Hope you have better luck with whatever you end up with DH!

On my RTi speakers, the Outlaw gear sounds absolutely amazing. I just went to seperates end of 2006 so I don't really have alot of experience with other seperates but in my opinion, you can't go wrong with Outlaw's bang for the buck components.

Look into an Rotel RSP1068/RMB1077 combo, I had this replace my parasound hca's 1200's and 2200. Pretty happy with the results but requires some 'break in' time.

D-class amp, small, light and easy to move around. :P
Gear: Rotel RC 1082, Rotel RSP 1068 pre/pro, Rotel RMB1077 amp, Cayin CDT 15a CD player, S301 bluray.

Speakers: Tannoy DC sensys speakers, Paradigm Servo15 Sub, Velo Spl-1500r

    Conditioner: Isotek :D

I'd be surprised if the Outlaw gear will sound significantly better than what you already had (ATI/Sherwood combo). I hope I'm wrong, though.

From what I have read, the Outlaw pre is a rebadged Sherwood, and Outlaw amps are made by ATI. I wouldn't expect it to sound much different than the old setup.
