Well I was just pondering this one if youve got a BAD a$$ video card in your computer and it supports 1280 by 1050 what kinda picture will ya get ? The tv is a lns-4095 samsung 1080p
I mean with all the media center computers comming out. Using a and Audigy card to supply signal to the preamp. You can play all the ripped cds you can handle.... Cetainly Im not the only one that has pondered this idea ?

It should support full 1920x1080 but what's the source going to be that takes advantage of it? You could play games at that resolution but the latest games require a few of those $400-500 cards to run at those pixels smoothly.
HTPC is a good thing, I have ran a few for quite some time now but it's getting a lot less use with movies now with HD discs out in the market. Once the HD computer drives get more common I am sure I will take them to use again, until then they are mainly music jukeboxes which they are great for (use digital output). -
They're also good for watch videos on, videos from the net (whatever their content might be ) but you can do a fair amount with a decent video card on a bigscreen. Sami is right, you'd need a monster card to run the games at that resolution (let alone an amazing computer) on a bigscreen tv, but it certainly would have its perks.Lovin that music year after year.
